Our professional drivers are courteous and are licensed by the city of Milwaukee.

Yellow Cab Cooperative started in 1979 after Boynton Yellow Cab stopped its operations. Boynton Yellow Cab was probably the oldest cab company in the city of Milwaukee. After Boynton Yellow Cab closed its doors. Few cab owners and drivers who were part of Boynton went down and made the deal with the owner of Boynton and started a cab service called Yellow Cab Cooperative.

All cab owners and drivers are independent and very responsible people. This cooperative was formed to give cab drivers and owners an opportunity to own their own small business, so they don’t have to work under the pressure of one owner deciding their fate.

There has always been a manager to carry on the administration work and interpret the rules to the drivers.

Yellow Cab Cooperative’s board members make the necessary rules and every owner and driver is supposed to follow those rules besides following the city ordinance.

Our drivers are from various ethnic backgrounds. We have drivers from the United States, India, Somalia,Ethiopia, Sudan, Russia, Palestine, Pakistan, Ghana,Mexico, Morroco, Egypt, Nigeria and many other countries.

This has always been the charm of Yellow Cab Cooperative. It is like the United States, where immigrants have come down and settled from different countries to make a living.

All our drivers are independent operators and are self employed.

Today, Yellow Cab Cooperative operates around 75 cabs in the city of Milwaukee and has a state of the art GPS dispatching system.

Military Entrance Processing Service Center also uses Yellow Cab to transport new recruits to the Airport besides various schools and other reputed companies like Miller-Coors, Harley Davidson, Northwest Mutual Insurance, Assurant, Rockewell Automation, Johnson Controls, Stark investments etc. Yellow Cab has been a favorite for years amongst Downtown bars, Hotels, other businesses and East side residences.
